North Zone Inter-school Infocomm Skill Quest Challenge by Nan Chiau High School Infocomm Club

Hi all! Hope all of you are doing good... Those of you who have finished sitting for exams, good for you! Those who have not, hang in there... It'll be all over soon!


Anyway, here's an update about a competition that will be carried out @ Nan Chiau High School. The details are as follows:






North Zone Inter-school Infocomm Skill Quest Challenge


Target audience: North Zone Upper Primary and Lower Secondary ICC members
Date: 5 Nov 2009
Venue: Nan Chiau High School
Time: 0800 - 1330



Brief Description about North Zone Inter-school Infocomm Skill Quest Challenge


  • Each school will be represented a group of 2 students.
  • One student from each group will have to register their mobile phone number with NCHS SMS System. Each group will be provided with a simplified map of the school.
  • When competition begins, NCHS SMS System will send questions related to infocomm to the competitors. Competitiors will have to provide the correct answers to receive a clue to the location one of the station.
  • At each of the station, the competitiors will have have to complete a particular IT tasks, e.g. create a simple animation to morph a square into a circle, or create a short advertisments, etc.
  • Upon completion of the challenge at each station, the group will receive the code which will unlock the clue to the next station. The time to taken to complete the tasks will be recorded by our system.
  • The group which complete the most number of stations with the submission of the best quality and the shortest time will be the winner.


Mr G and I will be accompanying TWO students we have registered for that event. Please note, Adriel Lam (1E5) and Bai Ching Sheng (2E2).


Registration will close TOMORROW (15 Oct) but if there are students who are interested to go with us, please inform me!
