Hi everyone!
We are here with another video; it's a jazzed out, souped up version of the NDP, wound up to the 9th degree of celebratory funkiness! We've jammed the video with behind the scenes glimpses of students and teachers milling around as they prep and showcase their talent and coordination!
What else is in the video? For a start, watch Mr William Goh's light-footed frolicking - a dance reminiscent of a Madagascan Cougar - as he drums himself to the merry tune of the pied piper! We know we like the part where Mr Sofian wrestles his student =)
Watch in HD 720p or 1080p. Have at you with a cookie if you do. Or be spanked in 50 shades of pain. ;)

Racial Harmony Day 2013 @ NV
Hey everyone!
We like to start with a little confession; we faced tremendous emotional difficulty editing the video, by which we mean the soul-rending, nerve-racking, heart-wrenching, brain-thumping turmoil - you know, the sort of existential pain that plagues you when trying to work out the difference between a hotdog and a sausage.
Why, you ask? The video gushed with so much personality and artless charm, partly because YOU, (with all your poses and cheer) indulged us so much during the entire filming process that we had no lack of footage to use. We had to reluctantly engineer out the video with cruel surgical precision: lopping off this bit, chunking away sections, and welding away that portion.
Be sure to extend our appreciation for some of the students too, who willingly allowed yourselves to be filmed, and exhibited not the least bit of shyness!
It's a much smaller team this time and the credit goes to them:
Jocelyn 1E3 (under the supervision of Ms Nur)
Enjoy the video!

Invitation to Participate in The Media Challenge Organised by Republic Polytechnic
The Media Challenge is organised by the Diploma in Mass Communication faculty at Republic Polytechnic Centre for Enterprise and Communication.
The Media Challenge engages and empowers secondary school students to develop and execute media content that is digitally advanced. Participants will be challenged to come up with the best multi-media news package. Students who are interested to learn how to combine blogging, photography, videography and interviewing skills to create a newsworthy package and are interested to join the media industry as a journalist or a media professional are welcome to join The Media Challenge!
Participants will experience working under tight deadlines, pitting their research, interviewing, writing, photography and videography skills against other fellow participants. The Media Challenge also grants them a real sense of what journalists and other media professionals need to go through each day – a race against time to get their work done!
· What does a journalist have to do to get from a story idea to the final news package?
· How does a journalist conduct interviews, review records to assemble, collect, and report information and explore the implications of the facts?
· How exactly does it feel like working under chronic deadline pressure?
Participants will also have the opportunity to hear and learn from prominent industry experts in the areas of marketing, social media, advertising, journalism, photography and more. In addition, they will attend various workshops conducted by the Republic Polytechnic Diploma in Mass Communication faculty and industry professionals. Over three days, they will also engage in various activities, events and field trips.
For the duration of the challenge, each team will be guided and mentored by a Republic Polytechnic facilitator as they embark on their journalistic journey to put together a feature news package. The teams’ news packages will be judged by industry experts. Attractive prizes will be presented to the best teams!
THE MEDIA CHALLENGE 2013
Date: 4 to 6 June 2013
