IMPORTANT UPDATE for Photo Dept: Heartland Photographers Club.

Please read this carefully. We will discuss it after your exams.

1. The Heartland Photographers Club is an interest group initiated by HDB's Community Relations Department and we would like to extend this invitation to schools with photography-related CCAs.

2. By joining the Heartland Photographers Club, the students will be able to:
(a) Attend photography-related events and workshops conducted by accredited photography instructors
(b) Pick up photography tips and techniques with professionals from our partners
(c) Gain experience by covering HDB's community events
(d) Showcase their work in public through roving exhibitions at HDB's community events, heartland malls and the HDB website

3. As part of this new initiative, one running project that we will be focusing on would be to document community living in all 26 estates in Singapore. We hope that through the eyes of youths today, the public would gain a refreshing and untainted perspective of what community life is about. Selected photos will be put on display at roving exhibitions during our community events and in heartland malls.

4. We will conduct photography outings so that students will get ample opportunities to hone their photography skills and exchange tips with other like-minded youths from other schools. Professional photographers will also be invited to lead the students during the outing. The frequency of the outings is expected to be bi-monthly and students can participate in outings that fit their schedule.

5. Students will be entitled to CIP points according to the school's arrangements

6. We target for the first meeting as well as the photography workshop to be held in December. You may submit the names of the students first so we can better facilitate the planning.

For more information/to sign up, you may approach Mr Tay Kwang Ming.
